Rare 1960s mid century modern G Plan sideboard designed by Richard Young

Designed in 1961 for G Plan, this is a beautiful range of furniture - but only sold for a few years so there aren’t that many around.
Amazing Modernist vibe to the design, Young later went on to set up the high end furniture company Merrow Associates.

Oak veneer with a laminate white front on one of the drawers. Each drawer has a subtly hidden chamfered edge running along the under side. Lovely ring pull handle on the main door.

It is in good overall vintage condition, but the veneer is a little dry in places and some small nicks, plus the small patch of discolouration on the top - check photos for details.
