Pair of Emeco 111 Coca Cola Navy Chairs mid century design icon

The 1006 Emeco chair was originally made from aluminium for the US Navy submarines during World War 2. They have become a staple of government and interior design in the US and across the world.

In 2010 Coca Cola and Emeco collaborated to recycle plastic waste from their bottles into furniture. 65% of the chair is PET plastic, the rest is glass fibre and fire inhibitors. They are still available todya

These are amazing chairs, an iconic design updated with a twist. They are strong and sturdy but light and easy to move. They have been well used but are standing up well - we think they date to 2011 just after they came out.
