Late 70s Herman Miller soft pad Eames lounge chair EA422 and footstool

Absolute classic mid century pieces designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1969, still in production to this day. This set date to the mid to late 1970s as defined by the stamp on the underside of the base.

This is the rarer more relaxed lounge chair, compared to the often seen office chairs. Nicely angled for a very comfy reclining pose. They have the serial number stamped and the black Herman Miller label

The original leather upholstery is clearly damaged in parts, especially in the seat - and the colour differs on the stool. Fine to use as is, but obviously prime for a refurbishment. Beautiful deep tan brown tone on the chair.

The frames show some patination and wear, to be expected for their age but still look great.
