Vintage 80s Art Deco inspired ceramic teapot multi coloured influenced by Clarice Cliff

An incredible teapot, we found it on one of our trips to Denmark, hidden away. Stunning shape and form, made even better with its multicoloured panel design. Never seen anything like it before, so we assume it is one of a kind.

Signed on the underneath but we can't make out the maker, we can see '87 - so we assume it was made in 1987. Clearly owing a debt to Clarice Cliff and the Art Deco pieces of the 1930s - but with a playful postmodern 80s spin on it.

Clay slabs that have been lightly scored so it suggests tiles, each section glazed in these wonderfully strong pastel colours.

It holds water, but we haven’t tried it with boiling water. Condition is great - no chips or obvious damage.
