Pair of late 70s Herman Miller soft pad Eames lounge chairs EA422

Absolute classic mid century pieces designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1969, still in production to this day. This pair date to the mid to late 1970s as defined by the stamp on the underside of the base.

These are the rarer more relaxed lounge chairs compared to the often seen office chairs. Nicely angled for a very comfy reclining pose. They have the serial number stamped and the black Herman Miller label

The original leather upholstery is clearly damaged in parts, especially in the seat of both. Fine to use as is, but obviously prime for a refurbishment. Beautiful deep tan brown tone.

The frames show some patination and wear, to be expected for their age but still look great.
