Mundus & J J Kohn antique bentwood tall coat hat stand early 20th century Thonet style

Classic and evergreen design originally by Thonet and much imitated over the years. Perfect for the hallway - coats, hats and umbrellas all have space.

This is one of the best we have ever seen, still with its original label on the underside of a leg - attributing it to Mundus and J&J Kohn Ltd, which dates it to between 1914 and 1922.

Over a hundred years old but still very sturdy and looks amazing for its age. Taller and chunkier than many of the imitations, its an impressive piece.

All the scrolls and curves are in good nick and no movement in the frame. Some wear to the finish in places, most notably where the umbrellas would have been stored. But very minor all things considered.
