Mid century 1950s British wooden lounge or armchair by Inglesants

Wonderful compact armchair sold through the Leicestershire company Inglesants. The company was bought in 1955 so we know it predates this.

The frame is nice and solid, a little movement in the arms but only very small and not an issue. The springs are nice and strong. Beautiful design of the spacers between the legs connecting in a hub in the middle.

Chair is sold as is, without a seat pad - so its perfect as a small project to customise as you wish.

The finish on the wood shows some signs of wear and marks - check photos. Chair has been well cleaned and checked before listing.
