Antique style wooden chest of drawers with curvy ‘guitar’ profile corners

Stunning chest of drawers! We don't normally sell more recent pieces, but I couldn't resist the curvy sides and shape of this one. We cant find the maker or age of this, but looking at the construction it can't be any older than 10/15 years tops.

It does resemble some much older Louis Philippe ‘guitar’ chests - that mimic the curve and detailing of a fiddle or guitar on each side. This one isn't as clear as those, but has definite similarities.

Its really well made, with quality timber and real care and thought gone into the design. Took us a while to realise there was a ‘hidden’ drawer right at the top! Disguised in what looks like just an ornamental piece right beneath the top, there are recessed handles to pull a secret shallow drawer.

Drawers all move freely and are very well made with quality wood and stretchers to provide strength.

Condition is overall pretty good, but with a few scratches and marks here and there which are reflected in the price. Check the photos to see where the top has a few issues along with some minor scuffs on each side. They don’t detract from the overall beauty of it.
