4 70s vintage chunky green stained dining chairs removable seat cushions

I love these chairs, they are so chunky and solid and full of possibility. Not seen any others and they could make a unique statement with a simple fabric change.

They date to the late 70s, lots of similarities to the Magistretti Carimate chairs and classic Italian chunky chairs of the era - but we don't know the exact maker. Believe they were sold through Heals.

The finish on the chairs is slightly odd, we thought at first that they had been stained green originally then partly stripped back. But we have since seen similar pieces with this kind of finish and they don't feel like they have been sanded. So perhaps this aged green tinged finish was the intended look.

The frames are solid as a rock, large and stable and strong. One small slither of ply is missing in the back rest of one - shown in photos.

The seats are not the original, they are simply cushions that fit the space well. Because of this they would be very easily replaced or reupholstered.
