1970s sling chair with tubular steel frame and brown cord seat by Peter Hoyte
Great piece of 70s seating, super comfy and compact so doesnt take up much floor space. These sling chairs were really big in the 70s, and a very effective way to make a strong and stylish lounge chair. Ikea, Habitat and Conran were among the many varied makers of similar chairs over the years. We believe this one was designed by Peter Hoyte.
The chair can be disassembled quite easily, with the cushioning forming both the sling and the seating.
The frame has some spots of patina here and there but is overall very good.
The cushioning is still comfy and provides enough depth - however there is some wear to the buttons in places and obviously it could benefit from a refresh bringing it up to modern fire and safety standards.
