1962 Mid century large wooden storage / archival artefact museum box coffee table or display piece

Stunning wooden boxes that were once used in the British Museum. Incredibly strong and built to last, they have been in use but still look great.

Built from top quality ply bound with metal reinforced corners and this one has a lid with an overlap.

We have styled this one as a coffee table, could be used for all sorts of course.

They have two brass frames on the front to add a title or description of contents - and a handle either end.
Each one has a reinforced bottom and an individual printed mark, this one is dated to 1962 and with the name G. Barrett
